In 1979 New York Style USA Co. was founded by Mark Sunik, domestically manufacturing sheepskin mittens, hats and slippers.  By 1982 New York Style USA Co. was producing sheepskin and leather Jackets.  We moved to a larger facility in 1983 located at 153 W. 27th Street employing 40 factory workers.  As customer demand increased, New York Style USA Co. ventured into importing from over seas in 1986.  Utilizing the experience gained from running a factory our company was able to get the best quality and price from over seas makers.  After great success in importing we were able to have all our productions made by over seas makers giving us the opportunity to close our factory and open a show room in the Empire State Building.   As market trends shifted, we started importing cloth outerwear and developing brand recognition with our North-Sportif label. We then incorporated North-Sportif, Inc. and started doing business under this name.  Today North-Sportif, Inc. successfully supplies some of the largest national retailers.
